How do I get press about my event in The Record?
Any business/non-profit organization can include their event in the Recordnet.com calendar or post the event online ASAP as this database is utilized by the newspaper for event listings and is the best way to be considered for placement in the Record.
How does an organization qualify for non-profit rates and/or a match ad program?
The following criteria need to be reviewed before consideration of an in-kind ad:
- Is the organization a 501c3? Are the proceeds benefiting a non-profit?
- If organization is a 501c3, proof of documentation must be submitted
- How does the event affect the Cape & Islands community?
If the organization is approved for a match ad program, specific placement of these ads are determined in-house and based on space availability. Generally non-profit ads are B&W.
Organizations who have received donated ad space are responsible for obtaining their own record copies of the publications in which they run.
